Innovation meets high-end community design at Walk23 in Huntersville, NC! W&A Engineering engineered the first permeable paver system of its kind in the area, merging water quality treatment and stormwater detention directly under parking spaces, residential alleys, and the public plaza. By removing the need for a traditional open retention pond, this innovative infrastructure maximized usable parking, protected a new 12,000 SF mixed-use building, and supported the adaptive reuse of an onsite residence into a high-end boutique restaurant - all while setting a design standard adopted into the town's official Water Quality Manual.
